About Young Pioneers
Young Pioneers was founded in 2013 by Shivanie Rampersaud. It is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organisation that focuses on Youth Development and Humanitarian work. It was established with the aim of getting youths involved in community work and to aid those in need. It targets young individuals from across the country who shares this passion and are willing to decide their time to make a difference. The Organization exposes these youths to leadership skills and training while getting them involved in the community and charitable projects.
Our Members and Volunteers are spread across the country in various districts Groups. Each of these groups is headed by a Head Pioneer who oversees and organizes activities in each respective district. These groups are interlinked and are managed by a Central Executive Team.
The Founder & President of the Organisation, Ms. Rampersaud plans and develops all projects, then hands it over to the respective teams for adaption and execution in their districts in the most effective form. All projects undertaken by the Organization are funded internally except for public assistance cases and some humanitarian work.
It is important to note that the organization stands firmly for ethnic diversity and individuality. This is reflected in our logo. The circle of hands in various colors represents the uniting of different individuals with different cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds, These individuals unite for a greater Good and works towards YP's Motto "Creating A Better Tomorrow."
Over the past years, Young Pioneers have organized and executed a number of activities including toy drives, book drives, outreaches, food and clothing distributions, free training courses, Assistance for Abuse Victims, Free Worldwide Counseling, Spelling Bee Competitions, Debate Competitions, Sport Competitions, Funds for Medical Assistance, Health and other Social Campaigns, visits to Elderly Homes and Orphanages among others.
